Journalists protest disappearance of colleague Tordue Salem at Police Headquarters.

Journalists stormed the police headquarters in Abuja to protest over the continued disappearance of their colleague Tordue Salem, a journalist with Vanguard Newspapers.
Addressing them at the gate of the Police Headquarters, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, FCT chapter, Emmanuel Ogbeche, said all they wanted was for IGP Baba to come and state what the Force was doing about Tordue’s disappearance.
According to him, the Police boss must put all necessary apparatus in place to find Tordue Salem alive so he can reunite with his family.
While receiving the protesters on behalf of IGP, the Police Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, assured that the Police High Command was determined to unravel the mystery behind Tordue’s sudden disappearance, saying that a thorough investigation was in progress.
Mr. Salem, who is a native of Tiv, Benue State, covers the House of Representatives and was last seen on October 13, 2021.
