JONAPWD expressed satisfaction as Kaduna State Passes Disability Bill into Law.

The Joint National Association of Persons with Disability (JONAPWD), Kaduna Chapter have expressed happiness and satisfaction on the passage of the Kaduna State Disability Bill into law.

The Association Spokesman Comrade Rilwan Abdullahi, in a press Conference could not contain his joy while addressing the media and other stakeholders at the Rehabilitation Center, Kigo Road Kaduna after 10 years of relentless advocacy by the disability community in partnership with the media, Civil Society and other stakeholders.

He believes the law will integrate people with Disability into the lager society give them equal rights to achieve equalization of opportunities and an easy access to the society at large

The Association thanked the Governor Mallam Nassir Elrufai for keeping to his Campaign promise, describing as a social contract between the present administration and the people with disabilities in Kaduna.

They also appreciated the efforts of the Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly, Commissioner of Human Service and Social Development, Ministry of Justice, Director Rehabilitation Board, CSOs, and the Media.
