Grass root coaches have been advised to tone down their win at all cost appetite to allow for promising sports talents grow.
This advice was given by the Technical Director, Ministry of Sports Development, Kaduna State, Yohanna Waziri where he added that if personal interest is allowed to fester; the state will be left behind.
For him, the pursuit at the National Youth Games is to help get the athletes exposed, properly nurtured and in some cases win medals, if the opportunity present itself.
As it concerns other technical sessions and interactions with other officials and coaches, the team lead assures of the right process been followed.
Waziri also reacted to some of the talking points on the conclusion of the 100 meter boys and Girls race.
The one-day meet had 6 Sports zones of the State participating.
