Kaduna LGA Elections: Delay of officials, Materials slows down process.

Accreditation and voting in Saturday’s Council polls commenced behind schedule in most polling units in Kaduna North and Kaduna South Local Government Areas.
At the Kaduna South Collation center in Government secondary school Ungwan Television Maichibi with 19 polling units which was monitored by Invicta News correspondent Kevin Madu, he reported that the delay may not be unconnected to the absence of trust by the stakeholders.
Also reporting, Bege Dauda said the situation in the Kakuri area was fair despite the late arrival of materials.
From the Tudun Wada area, Faisal Ridwan at the Zango, polling unit with the number 041 noticed that the low turnout was evident and at Bachama street 007, voters expressed low confidence.
At the Aliyu Makama polling center, Bilkisu Abubakar reports that the 32 polling units has materials shared progressively when the exercise was to take place.
Ango Bally gave updates from the Southern Senatorial Zone of the state where out of the 8 local government areas, Zangon Kataf was not part of the exercise.
This is the second time since 2018, Kaduna State is using electronic voting machines for its local government elections and makes Kaduna the first state in Nigeria to adopt electronic voting and the second sub-national government in Africa to achieve such feat after Namibia.
