Slave Trade, which was formally abolished in 1834, has been described by many people as man’s inhumanity to man. The period saw Africans and residents of other countries forcefully taken from their homelands.
August 23rd of every year is set aside globally to mark the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition.
