Political Parties not yardsticks to determine developmental Pace.

The appeal and popularity of political parties in Nigeria are not yardsticks to determine the pace of development.

A public affair analyst, Yusuf Ishaku Goje said this while reacting to the comment by the former chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega for Nigerians to dump both the APC and PDP in 2023.

He said that, the concern of the Don was apt and the indicators are not encouraging.

The social critic opined that the political behaviour of the two major political parties are similar and deceit filled with no proper ideology, noting that Nigeria’s polity lacks true leadership.

For him, the active posture of positive change can only come when the people stay consistent with all political actions

Goje says except, selfish behavioural modes are watched and corrected, they will continually be seen in all spheres
