Kaduna Citizens have expressed their opinions regarding the Controversial Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2021 that has rocked the Nigerian political scene.

The passage of the Electoral Amendment Act has heated up the polity, especially Clause 52(2) of the Act which says Voting at an election and transmission of result under this Bill shall be in accordance with the procedure determined by the Commission.

Respondents who spoke to Invicta news were torn between the sincerity of the lawmakers and the need for accountability of institutions.

However, Nigerians are already showing excitement about the prospect of electronic voting.

House of Representatives has passed the Electoral Amendment Bill, moments after opposition lawmakers walked out of the heated session at the National Assembly chambers in Abuja on Friday.

But the Senate voted for the conditional electronic transmission of election results where INEC may consider electronic transmission provided the national network coverage is adjudged to be adequate and secure by NCC and approved by the National Assembly.
