Ministry of Education Kaduna State directs learners to remain at home for 3 weeks

The Ministry of Education Kaduna State has directed that, Learners are to remain at home for 3 weeks and will no longer resume on the 25th of July as earlier stated in the 2020/2021 academic Calendar.
This was made known by the Permanent Secretary Dr. Yusuf Saleh on behalf of the Commissioner of Education and obtained by Invicta News.
According to Saleh, the 3 weeks’ schools closure is to give the state more time to review the current academic calendar to ensure that normal school activities are not affected. The release pointed out that the 3 weeks’ closure does not affect those writing the 2021 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination.
The Permanent Secretary says it is advised that all schools are expected to comply with the above directives as failure to do so will attract appropriate sanctions.
He assured the Public that the revised calendar will be released as soon as possible and that they will be communicated to accordingly.
It would be recalled that all public and private schools were to close for the 2nd term holiday today,16th of July 2021.
