One setback in responding to Covid-19 vaccine in the country is misinformation.
This was disclosed during a two-day consultative meeting with health workers on Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy among health workers organized by the Kaduna State Ministry of Health in collaboration with UNICEF in Kaduna on Wednesday.
Speaking to Newsmen on the essence of the seminar, the Kaduna State Emergency Operation Center Incident Manager, Dr Neyu Ilyasu, dismissed myths that the vaccines lessens the life span of people.
On how to curtail the spread of the myth about the vaccine, Dr Neyu had this to say.
Dr Ilyasu who is also the Director, Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Board, said the vaccine is one hundred per cent safe as it was approved by both World Health Organization and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC.
He equally encouraged people who have received the first dose but were yet to go the second, to do so in order to boost their immunity.
