CBN restates commitment to selling rice commodities to farmers at affordable prices.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has restated its commitment to selling rice commodities to farmers at affordable price.
The bank’s of Head of retail credit, Chika Nwaja, stated this during the official flag- off of paddy sales nd wet season anchor borrowers programme by the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, RIFAN, at Farin Gida, Mando, Kaduna.
He said rice in the market is sold at about 2 to 5 thousand per metric tone but the bank is given out at 190 considering the concept of the Rice Farmers.
Nwaja also said there is a 35 thousand difference between the market
He explained that the bank is not only focused on rice cultivation but extending the drive to other crops.
The Head of Retail Credit expressed satisfaction with what farmers are doing and promised to always stand by them.
