Nigerian Public charged to be more caring towards Sickle cell Patients.

World Sickle Cell Awareness Day was on June 19th with the aim to increase public knowledge of sickle cell disorders, the challenges patients, their families and caregivers face.
Sickle Cell Anemia is a genetic red blood cell disorder, occasioned by painful crises which makes normal life difficult.
The United Nations General Assembly, on December 22, 2008, adopted a resolution recognizing sickle cell disease as a public health problem.
Like Minds Sickle Cell Foundation, in collaboration with Global Peace Foundation, GPF, at an event organized to mark the global day raised important points on how to show care to Sickle Cell patients.
