Some discordant tunes between Communities and the Vigilante Services have started bringing in unease over solving the security Challenges.
There have been reports of members who are voluntarily securing their areas, while depending on stipends from the community not been paid and the members also not cooperating in providing such stipends.
Speaking on Invicta’s Public Affairs Programme, Waka Waka, Community members who did not want their areas memntioned said that, they are being taken advantage of, from their so called protectors after making provisions for such welfare packages.
Some callers say, JTF seize every opportunity to exploit them, adding that they were even sent out of their homes and forced to be part of their patrol team.
The Concerns were particularly on the activities of the Joint Task Force (JTF) and Kaduna Vigilant Service’s behaviours, in the way they treat the members of the community.
