Dr. Saratu Binta Audu Dikko reinstated as KAD-SIECOM Chairman.

After months of suspense and long wait, the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has approved the nomination of Dr. Saratu Binta Audu Dikko as Chairman of Kaduna State lndependent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM), for a second term.
Speaking to Journalists shortly after she was approved, Dr. Dikko said the commission is prepared to conduct credible elections that would meet the expectations of the people.
Speaking further, she promised to build on the achievement the commission made in the conduct of the 2018 election, having learnt lessons on some unavoidable mistakes with the experimentation of the Electronic Voting Machine.
On his part, Chairman House Committee on Ethics and Privileges, Kaduna State Assembly, Honourable Mugu Yusuf, who spoke on Dikko’s clearance, said the petition brought against her lacks merit.
Dr. Dikko’s screening was put on hold in early February, following a petition brought to the House against her clearance.
The Council election has been rescheduled for 14th August, 2021 for the third time, after two postponements.
