Winners have emerged at the first ever Da’ Glitters Golf Tournament 2021 held at the Kaduna Golf Club.
The Tourney which was divided into 7 Categories had Guest invites, ladies Veterans (Ladies and Men) Men and Women splited into the Amateurs and Pros.
After the full round of teeing off and other plays, the Competition Secretary Alhaji Idris alongside other officials brought out the final result, with the winner of the longest Drive Hole 18 going to Alex Sunday in the Male Category from the IBB golf club, that of the ladies was for Lizzy Samuel from the golf club in jaji. Nearest to the Pin (Hole 6) recognition was Col A.Z Ahmed of the Kaduna Golf club.
In other Categories, the best lady veteran with the best gross at 119 was Veronica Snoxelland the best Net was to Maryam Hassan Biu, from the cadre of the Veterans Male Kaduna Golf Club was unbeatable as Abayomi Oyelola had the best Gross with the winner of the net award going to Hassan Adamu at 72 and followed by Ibrahim Yabuwat at 73.
Lady captain of the Kaduna Golf Club Vera David won the best Nett award went to Vera David on 85, followed by Lizzy Samuel with 91 as Iveren Achir has the best Gross placed at 89.
Some of the invited clubs also showed their mettle in the Men’s guest Category as the best Gross performance went to George Paul at 76 of the Lamingo Golf Club, the Nett outstanding position was to a member of the Wuyet team and then the Dutse club representative was with 71 in L. makata.
Members of the Kaduna Golf Club were on the course too raking in prices such as the Category two for the amateurs had the likes of Abubakar Mahdi, Femi Okeowo and Bala Liman for the Best Gross, Runner up Nett and Best Nett, for the professionals it was Jamilu Ibrahim, Abu Ahmed and S.K Haruna.
