Nigerians have been advised to be careful with their speech.
The Co-Executive Director, Interfaith Mediation Centre, Kaduna, Pastor James Movel Wuye, while giving the Christian reflection on peace, gave the advice at a one-day monthly forum with media practitioners on peace journalism in Kaduna.
Wuye said the tongue, which is the smallest part of the human body, has the power to ignite tension.
He, maintained that if the tongue is well managed or controlled, it would be a tool for peaceful living in the society.
In a presentation titled ‘update on issues that might create tension’, a resource person, Abdul Bako, said the urban renewal drive by the Kaduna State government, if not handled properly, might cause a lot of trouble going forward.
On the issue of negotiation, Bako explained that even great democracies like America and the likes, embrace it as a means of achieving peace.
