An Islamic Scholar Sheikh Haliru Abdullahi Maraya has called on the Muslim faithfuls to see the end of the Ramadan as a leap in entrenching their faith for greater service to God and Humanity.
He was speaking to Invicta News on the Eid il Fitir Celebration, where he said the significance must be seen in practice and action.
The One-time special adviser to the executive Governor on Islamic matters said there was no confusion as regards the day the Ramadan was to end or any mix up in the sighting of the moon, for him once knowledge is applied all the supplications are accepted by Allah.
As Muslims go out to celebrate the cleric has some words of caution and expectations for the adherents.
Eid al-Fitr, also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast” or Lesser Eid, or simply Eid, is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
