WORKERS KEY TO PUBLIC-PRIVATE SECTORS

A Public Affairs Analyst, Danjuma Abbas Dangwa, says workers are the lifeblood of the functionality of the systems in both public and private sectors.

Dangwa, who stated this during a public enlightenment flagship programme on Invicta FM, said their impact is felt in the raw materials and resource mobilization, owing to their industrious efforts which is not commensurately appreciated.

According to him, when they are not appreciated, it would have a spillover effect along the chain as they provide services.

DANGWA’S VIEW 1

He equally dwelt on the security of the work of the public worker.

DANGWA’S VIEW 2

Giving more credence to job security in the private sector and the attitudes of the private employer, another Public Affairs Analyst, described labour as very significant in any democratic system, citing as an example the power of labour where Unionist could rise to the position of prominence in the political landscape.

ANALYST’S VIEW

He lamented that the strength of labour is overwhelmed by the government, adding that it is the private sector that is the strength of the economy and frowned at the casualization of workers in the public service.
