President, Nigerian Guild of Editors harps on true press freedom.

May 3rd was celebrated as World Press Freedom Day.

The day is observed to raise awareness of the importance of the freedom of the press and remind governments of their duty to respect and uphold the right to freedom of expression enshrined under article 19 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Invicta FM Correspondent, Ango Bally spoke to the President, Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mustapha Aminu on this year’s theme: Information as a Public Good, which underlines the indisputable importance of verified and reliable information.
